Rotherham is the economic centre of the neighbouring suburban areas, especially the town centre which is also home to exciting shops and boutiques, bars, cafes and restaurants, public squares and a number of visitor attractions, both historic and cultural. The town centre is also home to several fine hotels although the most popular ones - both with business and leisure travellers - are not located in Rotherham’s centre:

About Rotherham

Rotherham is a town in South Yorkshire, located less than 6 miles from the Sheffield city centre. It is a part of the so-called Sheffield Urban Area and with population of about 120,000, it is the second largest ‘member’ of this conurbation. As mentioned earlier, Rotherham also serves as the economic centre of the neighbouring suburban settlements.

Things to See and Do in Rotherham

The majority of the town’s prime attractions such as the beautiful Rotherham Minster are found in the town centre which is also home to many fine restaurants, bars and cafes to relax and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Then there are also countless shops and boutiques, and various special events and festivals - all year round.
